50 years’ experience in real estate development
The story of a passion handed down from father to son
A relentlessly hard and passionate worker, renowned for his considerable construction skills, Denis Maltais was the originator of thousands of residential and commercial units on Montreal’s South Shore. From simple bungalows to buildings rising twenty storeys, through industrial to commercial construction, Mr. Maltais’ tremendously broad experience and unflagging devotion to his work made him a true inspiration to his three sons.
Accompanying their father on worksites from an early age, the three Maltais boys followed their father’s example by founding nearly 30 years ago the Innomax banner, a consortium of independent companies dedicated to the pursuit of innovation via a combination of a broad range of multidisciplinary skills.
Heiress to an exceptional rigour, Innomax has since exerted intense control and demands strict quality standards that make it a reference in the field. To do this, it has developed an integrated and computerised control system for sales, production and management. This is why the company can afford to offer complex modular housing concepts, dedicated to offering its customers an unprecedented variety of choices without the mistakes that often come with them.

The birth of an idea: what if the customer had the choice?
It was part of this large-scale project in Candiac, developed by Groupe BCH, that Innomax was for the very first time able to apply its modular construction formula at scale. Offered in two versions, a semi-detached bungalow or an attached cottage, the project let customers choose the kind of unit that best met their needs and have it built on the lot of their choosing. That meant customers were now in the driver’s seat while our staff could devote their energies to guiding them in their decisions.
